Hell Yeah!

This election has actually left me speechless. Obama's election is not only a great thing for America but also for America's standing in the world. The fact that the election was so far from close is incredibly encouraging. I feel really good about this country for the first time in a very very long time.

Although the electoral votes made for a landslide, the popular vote was much closer than I thought it would be. 52-47, if I'm not mistaken.

I had predicted 58-40.

I think this is a good thing for America and it will certainly reduce global tensions. The rest of the world is totally digging this.

Sad to say, I think the Republicans strategy was to pick a loser from the beginning and leave "the black guy" holding the bag.

I really hopes he proves them wrong.

My only misgivings about this was that I would have hoped that Obama's supporters would have mirrored the same sort of class and composure that their candidate did. Sure the McCain tongue thing was funny but everything from the attacks on Hillary to those on McCain and Palin were a bit over the top and completely lame and juvenile, in my book. I expected many Republicans to be racist and call Obama a commie and a terrorist, but I thought the young Dems would be better than that.

Remember, McCain was more of a voice of reason during the clusterfuck that was the Neo-Con rape of America. Really a moderate, not a blood sucking vampire. Overall a decent man. Palin, I dunno.
